Blowerproof Gap Filling Mortar is a rapid hardening, non-shrink, cementitious mortar for gap filling. Designed for use to fill gaps greater than 5mm when using Blowerproof Liquid Brush, Blowerproof Liquid Roller and Blowerproof Liquid Spray.

For use on gaps greater than 5mm. Approved installers of Blowerproof recommend the use of a cementitious compound to close gaps as a more robust, durable and effective substrate for the application of the liquid membrane. This also avoids toxicity issues relating to PIR foams, dealing with foam waste trimmings and possible shrinkage.


Blowerproof Gap Filling Mortar is a polymer modified mortar supplied in a 5-litre waterproof pail. Inside is 5kgs of premixed powder requiring the addition of 900ml of clean potable water.

Mixing the Blowerproofl Gap Filling Mortar

Remove the bag of powder from the tub, use the tub as the mixing vessel

•Add enough water to powder to give a workable mix
•Mix by hand or use a slow speed stirrer
•Do not mix more than can be applied within the working life of the mortar (generally 5-10 minutes depending on temperature)
•A trowelling mortar consistency will not bleed or shrink

Application Procedure

•The minimum application depth for Blowerproof Gap Filling Mortar is 2mm
•The surface must be clean and structurally sound Avoid 'feather edging' by cutting out the repair area Damp the surface with clean water
•Whilst the surface is damp apply the mixed Blowerproof Gap Filling Mortar
•Apply by hand and ?nish with a ?oat or trowel to achieve the required pro?le
•The material will be strong enough to withstand impact after 1-2 hours
•When applying material in extremely warm or cold temperatures, the working life and initial 'set' will be affected

Blowerproof Liquid Brush, Roller or Spray can be applied directly onto the cured surface ensuring a continuos unbroken airtight seal

Delivery charges
Shipping costs on the website relate only to delivery within the UK mainland these will be clearly indicated on your quote or at checkout if buying online, charges are based on delivery to mainland UK, excluding the Scottish Highlands and Islands where additional shipping charges will apply. There are also differences for other offshore destinations such as the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, and Isle of White (more information can be found in Locations we ship to) Please call for a quote and order by phone if you live in these areas. Not all products will incur an additional delivery charge to the Scottish Highlands and Islands this would include full loads and larger orders of insulation for which we have a dedicated Scottish distribution centre.

What transport we use
We use first- and second-class post, courier services, haulage companies or the pallet network selected to give you the cheapest delivery option. Any variations to standard shipping terms, for example for paints or bulk liquids, oversize or very heavy materials and all windows and doors or where you will be required to provide mechanical offload will be notified to you in writing by us at the time of order and will include specific and required shipping and handling information.

About delivering your order
All of our delivery charges are based on the customer being available at the delivery address to accept the goods.
Any variation to web delivery date given will be advised to you by email or telephone. If we are unable to make a delivery because access is not possible, we reserve the right to make a failed delivery charge.
Standard delivery time is 3-5 working days from receipt of confirmed order, any variance for specials or timed deliveries will be indicated on the quote both are subject to goods remaining unsold at the time of order. See note below on 'Timings'
Please check that the delivery address and contact numbers shown on your quote or order confirmation, we cannot accept responsibility if orders are delayed or missed due to incorrect details.
When placing your order, please note that delivery is either by courier or via the pallet network and deliveries can be on articulated Lorries, we can normally match transport to site requirements.

Restricted access.
At the time of order please inform us of any access problems or vehicle restrictions (such as size, height or weight of vehicle this will also include narrow lanes, low bridges, height restrictions or other parking restrictions such as double yellow lines or red routes) failed deliveries or re-deliveries caused in this manner can result in you paying more for your order.

Multiple Deliveries
As a result, some of the goods you order may come to you direct from source resulting in your order consisting of more than one part.
Depending on stock availability, some orders may be split into more than one delivery so you are not kept waiting for those items immediately available.
You will be notified each time a part of your order has been dispatched so that you can keep track of your items.
If we become aware of stock difficulties, which will affect delivery timescales, we will let you know by telephone or email.

Accepting Your Delivery
Please check your goods thoroughly before signing for them.

Do not accept damaged products. Orders signed for “unchecked” will be deemed to have been received in good condition.
What to do if your goods are damaged when they arrive.
On rare occasions, goods may be damaged in transit in which case the following procedure must be followed to ensure your rights are maintained. Failure to follow this procedure may result in any claim being rejected by us. We insure our goods in transit and risk transfers to you on completion of delivery when the goods are signed for. To process a claim for damage in transit successfully the following procedure must be followed:
If goods are damaged, you must confirm this in writing on the delivery note at the time of delivery. Do not accept damaged goods without doing this, evidence will be required to prove the damage was caused in transit and not subsequently.

No claims for damaged goods will be accepted once you have signed for the order unless:
The delivery note is countersigned as ‘damaged goods’ by you (or anyone signing and accepting the goods) at the time of delivery.
You must alert the driver of the damage and your intention to notify us.
Take photos as evidence to support your claim.
Contact us immediately to inform us that the goods have been delivered damaged.
You must keep, and store in a safe place, the damaged goods – they will be required for inspection (once a claim is made the title of the goods passes to the insurer).
Damaged goods that are reported to us at the time of delivery with supporting evidence as described above will be replaced at no cost to you inclusive of carriage charge for replacement products.

Your rights to reject defective or damaged goods will be lost if:
you or your representative(s) intimate’s acceptance to us for example by signing for the goods without notifying us of the damage; or
you or your representative(s) do anything after delivery which is inconsistent with the normal and intended use of the goods; or
you or your representative(s) retain the goods for more than 7 days without communicating your rejection to us.
Weekends and National Holidays.
Please note that orders received after midday on a Friday (along with any orders received over a weekend) will be processed on a Monday – bank holidays excepted. All our estimated delivery times are therefore based on a five-day working week so please bear this in mind when ordering.
Christmas opening hours will be advertised on our website, via social media and through our newsletter. We are closed for all statutory English bank holidays. All orders received during these times will be processed on the next available working day.
In an ongoing effort to reduce our carbon footprint, we constantly review our transport arrangements to see that they optimise the delivery process, by ensuring that your goods reach you having done the least possible road miles.

Delivery timings are given as a guide only. During the order process, we will inform you of an estimated delivery date. We will always endeavour to complete orders by the time indicated, however, this is not a guarantee, any delivery times and dates provided by us through the appointed carrier shall be according to that carrier’s rate tariff and shall be estimates only. The carrier shall use reasonable endeavours to deliver consignments within any estimated timescales provided by the carrier to the customer, but the time for delivery of the consignment will not be of the essence of the contract.
