SMJ RCDILP Inline RCD Adaptor The SMJ Inline RCD Adapter (circuit breaker) protects against the risk of electrocution and is approved to the latest European standards. Double pole protected. Essential for use in high risk areas such as outdoors, by ponds and when using pressure washers. You should use an RCD whenever working with any electrical device. When an imbalance is detected the SMJ RCD cuts power faster than a heartbeat. It is designed to be installed in a cable run to provide portable and permanently fixed protection. One end goes into the mains, then you plug your electrical appliance into the other end. If there is a fault or a short in the tool you are using, the unit cuts the power very quickly, reducing the risk of electrocution and is approved to the latest European standards. It continuously monitors the power supply to an electrical appliance and cuts off the power within 40 milliseconds if an earth current fault is detected. This is fast enough to prevent a fatal electric shock. The SMJ RCD Safety in-line adaptor is an ideal way to protect yourself when using portable electrical tools, like lawnmowers, hedge trimmers and mains powered drills. Electrical appliances can become dangerous if the wiring becomes loose, or their power cords become damaged or if they get wet. Not only power tools and lawnmowers can cause electrocution is also possible if fingers, wet hair or other conductive bodies enter the appliance. Essential for use in high risk areas such as outdoors, ponds and pressure washers etc. In all these cases the SMJ Safety RCD is a must. Not for use on ponds as when disconnected the protection will be lost. Particularly recommended for use with power tools. Can be used with any 240 Volt appliance.

If we have supplied an item that is faulty (or goes faulty within the first 7 days of receipt) please call our Returns Department immediately. We will discuss the fault with you and arrange for a collection of the goods. Goods must be packaged appropriately (minimising the scope for any damage in transit)

Once we have received the goods back from you and satisfied ourselves (and sometimes the manufacturer) that the alleged defects are as reported, we will either replace the goods or arrange a refund of the full value of the goods and any carriage costs incurred.

Please note that most tool manufacturers we deal with offer a 12 month warranty on their products. If the item you have purchased from us develops a manufacturing defect within that 12 month period, please contact us at the earliest opportunity and we will handle the warranty issue with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Returning Damaged Items:

If an item arrives with you that has been damaged in transit you must inform us of this damage within 7 days of receipt of the item. Unfortunately we cannot accept claims for damaged items after 7 days have lapsed.

We will discuss the damage with you and should a replacement item be called for we will arrange for our courier to deliver a replacement to you and collect the damaged item at the same time.

You will need to make yourself available to affect the exchange. You must also enclose your invoice or delivery note with the damaged goods. Goods must be packaged appropriately (minimising the scope for any damage in transit)

We reserve the right to request images of the damaged item or request that the item come back to us in the first instance for inspection of the damage before sending a replacement.

Returning Incorrectly Supplied Items:

If in the unlikely event we have supplied an item incorrectly, please contact us within 7 days and we will arrange for the item to be collected from you and the item you actually ordered to be delivered at the same time.

In certain circumstances we may ask for the incorrect item to be returned ahead of the replacement being sent.

You will need to make yourself available to affect the exchange so that the courier driver can affect the switch. You must also enclose your invoice or delivery note with the incorrect item.
